Her aunt was a famous Spanish actress, her partner is an artist, her kid is gifted with music and she is creative in everything she does. “Why not trying to write”, Sonia Bautista thought and that is how “Atardecer Químico” (see the illustration made by herself) was born, a very original short story about friendship.

Els Joglars has become throughout its existence a political theatre group somehow criticizing especially the situation in Catalonia where an increasing number of people wish to separate from the rest of the country and create their own Republic. This has caused former director and founder Albert Boadella a lot of headaches as well in his position as a manager of the Teatros del Canal in Madrid years ago where nearly all political forces want to stop separatism and abuse groups like this for their own interests. In the cultural world, his political positions also provoked very different reactions.

LA BANDA is a heartfelt coming of age movie filled with real-life scenarios between friends and family. Roberto Bueso, who debuts as a director, states that the story is based on his feelings when he left his hometown, Valencia, Spain, to study cinematography like Edu. A young adult who went to London to pursue his passion for music. However, he goes back home for his brother’s wedding and then ponders how long he will stay home. While he is home, he is forced to face old feelings that he hadn’t dealt with his family and friends.
With regard to China we have a lot of stereotypes and completely wrong ideas. Most of us have never been there and do not speak their language. However, we judge according the Chinese immigrants coming to Europe forgetting that China is a huge country and like everywhere there are many differences and that the life of an immigrant is not representative for a whole culture. Although Chinese seem easy to adapt to every other culture and can open business in Luxemburg or in the smallest village in Spain and are still successful this does not mean that they have no identity, that they are just think about money or that they are all clever businessmen or women.
